DAY TRIP TO AMANA
July 15th, 2010

We will pick up in Greenfield and then in Des Moines and travel to Amana

5:45 AM - Bus will arrive in Greenfield at the City Parking lot
6:00 AM - Depart
Travel to Quality Inn at Merle Hay Rd. & I-80
(Cars are to be parked on the north side of the building facing the Interstate)
7:15 AM - Departure time from Quality Inn
7:35 AM - Departure time from parking lot north of K-Mart on East Hubbell
8:05 AM - Bus should arrive at the Hy-Vee at Southridge
8:10 AM - Departure time from Hy-Vee
10:00 AM- Approximate arrival time in Amana. Shopping time on your own.
12:00 - Group will meet at The Ox Yoke Inn for a delicious lunch to be served family style. We will have 3 meats and much more, plus dessert.
When group is finished eating, we will depart for The Old Creamery Theater. We must arrive 40 minutes prior to show time to claim our reserved seats and to use the restrooms.
3:00 PM - See the play "Don't Hug Me County Fair".
(It's County Fair time in Bunyan Bay, Mn. Miss Walleye competition is in full swing. Things get tense as Bernice and Clara both vie for the crown, but the real trouble and hilarity begins when Gunnar's twin sister shows up to enter the contest.) After the production, we will reboard the motorcoach and start the journey home. 5:30 PM- (Probably stop at Williamsburg for fast food meal on your own.)
Choices: McDonald's, Arby's, and Pizza Hut.
6:45 PM - Depart for home - earlier if all are finished eating earlier.
